You’re invited to join in the Campfire Club! In time-honoured fashion we will gather around roaring blazes enveloped in music and entertainment. High spirits will be maintained with good ol’ sing-a-longs, storytelling, special guests and who knows what else. Every fire will be a unique event with a magic concoction of spontaneity, rare talents and the unknown, all drenched in the sepia tones of firelight and tinged with wooded aromas.
‘A remarkably gifted talent’ The Guardian | ‘Classic Bowie-like pop, belting blues and gorgeous jazz’ BBC
Gwyneth Herbert is an award-winning composer and lyricist, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, record producer, and strikingly original performer. She has released 6 critically-acclaimed albums (including the first Blue Note UK release in 30 years), toured across the world and shared stages with Amy Winehouse, John Cooper Clarke and the London Sinfonietta.
Following a summer of touring in North America and working on composition projects, Gwyneth brings her unique multi-instrumental duo show to the Campfire Club in a special acoustic performance. Drawing on influences from the worlds of folk, art pop, contemporary classical, sea shanties, jazz, avant-garde music and storytelling, she performs with a variety of instruments and a “casually commanding voice – whether softly nuanced as confiding speech or at full soaring-contralto stretch” (The Guardian).

THE MAGIC LANTERN
An artist dedicated to remedying the anxiety and fear present in everyone, his voice both lifts and calms the senses equally, as he applies jazz technique to a direct and open presentation of original songs. Most recently joining Jamie Cullum at the BBC Proms, the singer and composer Jamie Doe is a rising star of London’s diverse music scene, who never settles without a challenge, and lives to spread love, calm and sincerity. Jamie has “an immediately arresting voice that has been compared to Chet Baker and Jeff Buckley and a unique guitar style that takes elements of folk fingerpicking, Flamenco and West African music”
“Very, very special” – Lauren Laverne, BBC 6 Music
“Intriguing, compelling and exceptional. A man to watch” – The Guardian
**Please Note: The concerts are all outside and all weather affairs thus full waterproofs are highly recommended and warm clothes. There is a wet weather contingency in the case of forecast rain only.
