You’re invited to join in the Campfire Club! In time-honoured fashion we will gather around roaring blazes enveloped in music and entertainment. High spirits will be maintained with good ol’ sing-a-longs, storytelling, special guests and who knows what else. Every fire will be a unique event with a magic concoction of spontaneity, rare talents and the unknown, all drenched in the sepia tones of firelight and tinged with wooded aromas.
Line up: 6th May
Jeff Warner is among the nation’s foremost performer/interpreters of traditional music. His songs from the lumber camps, fishing villages and mountain tops of America connect 21st century audiences with the everyday lives–and artistry–of 19th century Americans. “Providing more than just rich entertainment, Jeff will leave you with a deeper appreciation of the land you live in” (Caffé Lena, Saratoga, NY). His songs, rich in local history and a sense of place, bring us the latest news from the distant past.

Orlando was living in LA when his girlfriend lent him Elliot Smith’s old guitar. Then she left him. Back home in London, inspired by the city and its beleaguered inhabitants he started making music for euphoric wakes and dance funerals. He found the Swell and established an experimental station for the end of the world.
“The finest thing I’ve heard since Orphans and Vandals two years ago. It’s a ten piece, orchestral band with such freshness, and vigor, and power and newness about the writing and the delivery…It really swept us away. You must try and see Orlando Seale and The Swell if you possibly can.”
Tom Robinson, BBC6 Music
”A ballsy, bohemian behemoth coming on like Jarvis Cocker fronting Arcade Fire with a petite orchestra of drum-beating and string-serenading beauties.” Will Rees, London Folk Guild/Wilderness festival
**Please Note: The concerts are all outside and all weather affairs thus full waterproofs are highly recommended and warm clothes.
