Sam Lee & Marth Tilston: Acoustic Concert
Sam Lee is hosting a special acoustic concert at the idyllic location of Devon’s beacon of sustainable education Embercombe. This concert will be held on the Saturday night and also feature the sublime Martha Tilston.
Mercury Prize nominated Folk singer, song collector, promoter (of BBC award winning Nest Collective) radio host, TV personality, teacher and animateur, Sam’s two critically acclaimed albums place songs he has collected first hand from the Gypsy Traveller Community at their heart with inventive arrangements bringing these ancient songs to life for the 21st Century.Winner of the 2011 Arts Foundation Award and BBC Radio 2 Folk Award nominee for Folk Singer of the Year, Sam is a new pioneer who is helping to define and energise the sound of folk song for today.

Over this weekend Sam will also be running a weekend workshop at Embercombe; a pioneering concept marrying song and the ‘way of nature’ with a focus on the art of singing through developing relationships with nature and re-wilding oneself in this stunning part of the English landscape.
