Eileen Hall is based in London and is the Creative Director and Artist for Tayos, a multidisciplinary and multicultural collective of artists, musicians and scientists looking to reconnect people to nature through art, music & immersive experiences, with the aim to also help protect the endangered wild habitats of her home country of Ecuador.
She was born in Quito-Ecuador and studied Architecture & Art at Edinburgh University. Since the death of her father Stan Hall in 2008, Eileen has carried on his research, exploration and campaign for conservation of Cueva de los Tayos and has also been featured on a number of TV shows, documentaries and articles on the story. Her involvement with the Tayos legend also led her to work with conservation and community projects in Ecuador for a number of years, gathering a plethora of knowledge on the destruction of these biodiverse habitats, and collaborating with organisations and groups actioning solutions for regeneration. It was during this period that she developed a deep love for jungles, caves and many other ecosystems, as well as a passion for their protection.
In her drawings and watercolour paintings she explores the liminal, fluid spaces between our inner consciousness and our outer environments, with a special focus on our connection to nature, poetry and dreamscapes. As a meditation teacher/guide she has worked with individuals, groups and companies worldwide combining creativity and contemplation practices for wellbeing and health for a number of years. Her research into psychology, consciousness and wellbeing is embedded into all her work and her passion for music continues to guide her ever evolving creative path.
