WHAT IS CAMPFIRE CLUB?

25 June 2026

Simply, it’s our summer series of outdoor concerts in beautiful spaces.

We sit by the fireside to listen to extraordinary folk and world music; gathering with friends and enjoying great music and company - just as people have done for thousands of years.

Sitting down under open skies for the evening, the feel of the grass beneath your feet. Listening to the evening birdsong, smiling faces around you as you huddle together by the fireside and await the start of the performances. Enjoying fine drink and cheer as you revel in spellbinding music.

We think that’s wonderful in and of itself, but we also believe there’s more to it.

The Nest Collective is built around connection to nature and tradition.

We believe deeply in protecting nature, so our Campfire Club programme works in partnership with eco-friendly organisations and conservation sites. In the past we have partnered with organisations like RSPB and Friends of the Earth.

In London we currently work with the fantastic nature conservation teams at Cody Dock and Creekside Discovery Centre.

Cody Dock are doing amazing work transforming disused docklands area into a wildlife haven, including cataloguing over 1000 different species in their immediate vicinity. Following the Lower Lea River’s industrial decline since the 1960s, an amazing amount of natural wildlife have begun to reclaim the area.

Creekside Discovery Centre is in one of the most biodiverse landscapes for its size in London. The Centre was developed in response to the significant regeneration the area was seeing and a need to protect and nurture their urban habitat. Today they work with conservationists and building professionals to share their expertise in biodiversity and land management for urban areas.

In Brighton we have been partnered with Low Carbon Trust for a number of years. Their Earthship in Stanmer was the first of its kind to be built in England. It’s an off-grid building that heats, cools, powers itself from the sun, harvests its water from the sky and treats its wastewater onsite using plants. It is a pioneering project and has evolved over the years, providing jobs for local workers and enabling people to come and experience a cutting-edge eco-build and be inspired to respond to climate change in their own ways at home and work.

We are proud to bring many hundreds of people to these venues each year and to be part of a growing eco-conscious community. Our nature and wildlife need protecting more than ever, and the best way to encourage that is to bring more people into these environments.

And of course, we all know the myriad benefits of spending time in nature.

Campfire Club acts as a space for us to reconnect with what’s important: nature, community, tradition and culture.

We curate our programme with artistic lineups representing the broadest spectrum of ‘folk’ music, and we pride ourselves on always putting together the best lineups possible. We love seeing singers carrying the old songs, and also love witnessing incredible new genre-twisting performances.

We want Campfire Club to always be a welcoming space for artists to thrive and reach new audiences, and for our audiences in turn to enjoy their favourites and discover the next generation.

We believe Campfire Club is tending the flame - keeping traditions alive, bringing people together, and sharing a vision for a sustainable world.

Campfire Club 2026 runs from 26 June to 28 August in London and Brighton

The Nest Collective is an independent arts organisation. We rely entirely on our events income and the generosity of our supporters to run our annual programme. If you’re interested in supporting us, please look into becoming a Friend of the Nest here:
