The Nest Collective, (“Us”, “We”, “Our”) is the data controller of your Information for the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998 (the “Act”). We respect your privacy and we are committed to protecting your personal information as that term is defined in the Act (“Information”). We comply with the principles of the Act and aim to maintain consistently high levels of best practice in our processing of your Information.

Who We Are

The Nest Collective is an acoustic folk club that organise and promote folk, world and traditional music events, formed in 2006 by Mercury-nominated singer Sam Lee.

 

What Information Do We Collect

All your Information will be held and used in accordance with the Act where applicable. We do not collect information that data protection legislation defines as ‘sensitive personal information’, such as medical history or criminal convictions.

When you visit and use our website or attend events at our venue you may provide us with, or we may collect, your Information such as your postal address, email address and other personal information. We collect and maintain Information that you voluntarily submit to us during your use of our website or attendance at our events. For example:

Your name (first & last) – To send you your tickets, take payments and to give you a more personalised experience.

Purchase history – This helps us to tailor our communication so we can send you the shows and events we think you’ll be most interested in, if you have opted-in to receiving this information. 

IP Address & Device type – Like most companies we have Cookies installed on our website so that we can track visitors (this is just a small piece of code inserted into a website’s HTML). We use Cookies to target adverts at people online who have visited our website. For more information on this, you can see our Cookies policy here. We also can see information such as the device you use to access our website, and this helps to inform us on how to provide the best customer experience for you.

Email address – Your email address is used to send any necessary information for shows you have booked tickets for, for example, if there’s a cancellation or change in door time. If you have opted in to receive marketing emails from us then we’ll also use it to send you news and information about upcoming events or promotions. You can opt out of these emails by clicking the ‘unsubscribe’ button at the bottom or by emailing or writing to us with your details.

Mobile number – To send you reminders about gigs that are about to go on sale (we’ll only do this if you have requested this information) or to send you information you need to know about the show. Please note we may have to pass your mobile number on to a trusted external company who send out text messages on our behalf.

Eventbrite

We sell tickets to our events via a third-party website, Eventbrite. Payment information and other details may be required by them in order to purchase tickets for our events.

E-newsletter
